Through 11 self-paced lessons using vignettes from The House on Mango Street, students will learn how to:
- Structure strong analytical paragraphs using the Quotation Sandwich (aka PEA / CER)
- Identify and analyze figurative language, including symbolism, imagery, metaphor, and mood
- Read literature closely and write with clarity, evidence, and confidence
- Use a rubric to self-assess and improve their own writing
